Inaugural Sabri Ülker “Metabolism and Life” Symposium 5-6 May 2016

This was the inaugural event in the “Metabolism and Life” symposium series.  Prof. Gökhan Hotamışlıgil, from the Harvard University TH Chan School of Public Health Department of Genetics & Complex Diseases, Sabri Ülker Center chaired presentations on a wide range of subjects relevant to the theme.   The event was held in Istanbul and we were delighted to welcome Prof. Brian Kobilka, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in chemistry in 2012, as our guest of honour.  He delivered a keynote presentation entitled “Structural insights into G protein coupled receptor signaling”
