The 13th National Healthy Living Congress, organized by Acıbadem University, was successfully held from May 30 to June 2, 2024, hosted by the university. The congress aimed to share the latest developments in the fields of nutrition and dietetics with graduates and discuss the most current information in these areas.
The symposium emphasized the role of adequate and balanced nutrition, a fundamental component of healthy living, in the prevention and treatment of diseases, highlighting that the rapidly evolving world of science allows for the emergence of new concepts and treatment methods.
The congress featured 53 presentations across 16 panels, 13 conferences, and 9 sector-specific talks. Key topics discussed in the panels included "Current Evidence on Gut Microbiota," "Gut Microbiota Across the Lifespan," "Nutrition and Early Life," "Nutrition and Healthy Aging," "Multidisciplinary Approaches to Sports Injuries," "The Sensory Aspect of Nutrition," "Cardiometabolic Health," "Current Nutrition in Cancer," "Nutritional Guidelines and Public Health," "Current Evidence in Plant-Based Milk and Fermentation," "Food Product Reformulation," "Salt and Health," "Precision Nutrition," "The Untold Stories," and "Dietary Supplements in Health Promotion."
The congress brought together approximately 1,000 participants to explore the latest information, treatment methods, and developments in the field of nutrition and dietetics. For 13 years, the Healthy Living Congress has continued to be a vital platform for knowledge exchange and interaction among professionals, academics, and students in these fields.
During the congress, a presentation was made on the Food Literacy Research led by Laura Fernandez, a member of our Scientific Committee, discussing the most recent scientific findings in nutrition and health.
